Advanced Course in Adult Attachment Focused Therapy
April 25-26: Assessment May 9-10: Treatment
This course is designed for therapists who have taken my workshops on Adult Attachment or have equivalent experience and training in Adult Attachment. Participants will learn more in-depth methods of assessment of adult attachment and a model of therapy.

Feb. 22, 2024: Becoming an Adult Attachment Focused Therapist, SickkidsCMHC
Participants will learn the categories of adult attachment, how to assess adult attachment and a model of therapy based on an individual's attachment.
March 4-5: Attachment in Adolescence: Sick kids Centre for Children's Mental Health: Participants will learnt the attachment categories in adoelscence, now to assess for them, how brain changes in adolescence affect attachment and an attachment focused treatment model.
March 18-19, 2024: Secure Parent, Secure Child, How a Parents Adult attachment shapes the Attachment of the child, Safeguards Trainings, (see below for description of workshop)
April 11, 2024: Secure Parent, Secure Child: How a Parents Adult Attachment Shapes the Attachment of the child, SickkidsCMHC
Participants will learn the categories of adult attachment and how each one affects a parents strengths and set backs in their relationship with their children. Practical interventions for helping a parent modify their insecure parenting patterns will be offered.
March 26-27, 2024: Developing Secure Adult Attachment: a Journey of Awareness, Mourning and Change, Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty of Social Work, Cont. Ed.
This workshop will present the categories of adult attachment, how to assess for each category and present a model of therapy that includes concepts of self-awareness, mourning for what one longed for and risking change in one's relationships.
May 30-31: Clinical Application of Adult Attachment: Mission Empowerment:
This workshop will help participants understand adult attachment, how to assess for the categories and present a treatment model based on adult attachment. The therapist's own adult attachment is important in the relationships with clients.
June 10-11: Attachment in Adolescence, The Wonky Brain that Allows for Change: Wilfrid Laurier University, Faculty of Social Work, Cont. Ed.
This workshop will help participants understand adolescence from an attachment and brain development perspective. Participants will learn the categories of attachment that apply to adolescence and a model of therapy to help adolescents develop secure attachment.
